How inadequate sleep affects blood sugar and increase risk of type 2 diabetes




   Experiments has made it known that Inadequate Sleep affects blood sugar and brings about a decrease in insulin functionality.

       An experiment carried on healthy young men:

       These young men were asked to reduce there sleep duration to 4 hours for six straight nights and were examined, It was shown that they had a high risk of type 2 diabetes.

       These young men where now asked to increase there sleep duration, after 8 days they were examined again, This time there health was back to normal with no symptoms of type 2 diabetes.

      In summary: Having a habit of consistent inadequate sleep has a negative effect on blood sugar and high risk of type 2 diabetes.

       So be on a safer side and create the habit of having adequate sleep of 8 hours every night to prevent the risk of type 2 diabetes and have a stable blood sugar.
